Everyone will be scheduled in 5-minute slots. Your slot will include your performance of the work and a brief interview.

Project Girl seeks performers, song-writers, writers and/or activists. Through writing and acting workshops, guest artists, discussion groups, performances, and drawing from the media, news, and interviews with peers, Project Girl Performance Collective works together in generating a theatrical event based on their own life experiences and what it means to be a young woman in today's world. Performers share the joys and troubles of today's generation in addition to their own experiences of love, relationships, parents, identity, pain and success. All participants are expected to write and create the piece in addition to perform. We also encourage dancers, singers, musicians, composers, steppers, world language speakers, and anyone else with special skills to share them with us during the audition.

Project Girl Performance Collective is auditioning girls between the ages of 12 and 21 to become new members. Members will have the opportunity to perform their writing in our bi-monthy PGPC Unplugged showcase and be part of our summer 2012 performance of new works. Older girls have the opportunity to perform in special events with our partners at the United Nations throughout the country. Over the past year our girls have performed on tour with the United Nations Foundation's Girl Up Campaign, Panzi Hospital Foundation, at various high level events at the United Nations and at TEDx, streamed live internationally. Project Girl is also looking for swings, understudies and to cast 1 role in our full length play "Trafficked" which will debut in June as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.
