Create Your Own Collective

Our Executive Team can bring the Project Girl curriculum into your school, community center or neighborhood and help you create your very own collective.

 

Audition for Project Girl Performance Collective

Project Girl welcomes all girls between the ages of 12 and 21 to become involved in our collective. We generally hold auditions twice a year, in the summer and winter. Occasionally we hold auditions during the year for special projects. If you would like to receive information on our next audition dates, please fill out the form above.


Be a Guest Artist, Director or Activist

PGPC engages renowned actors, playwrights, directors, musicians, visual and spoken word artists to work with our collective both on a long and short term basis.  All we ask for is a few hours of your time on a weekend of your choice. Our collective members will appreciate your energy, time and creativity.

Be a Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager and Stage Technician

PGPC is grateful to the volunteers who share their talents behind the scenes by helping us to coordinate rehearsals, travel, sound, lights and other technical elements.

Prestigious Project Girl Fellowship

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Girl youth activist/actors
  • Develop strategic approach to fundraising with Executive Team.
  • Develop human rights educational curriculum and performance budgets to expand Project Girl’s work in schools both in the US and abroad.
  • Prepare proposals, grant applications, and letter of inquiries.
  • Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation purposes. 

Qualifications

  • Interest in entrepreneurial leadership and global issues effecting girls.
  • Computer literacy; Excel, Word, Outlook. QuickBooks knowledge a plus.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Presents numerical data clearly and effectively.
  • Social media savvy a plus.

The Job: 

  • Work directly with Executive Director to grow start-up organization, Project Girl Performance Collective. 
  • Support Project Girl partnerships with ECPAT USA (Ending Child Prostitution and Trafficking), the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the Girl Up UN Foundation, Man Up Campaign, Panzi Hospital Foundation USA, Global Network of Women Peacebuilders, United to End Genocide and countless other ngos. 
  • Grow a fearless online presence that inspires girls (ages 8-21) to write and perform their own work. 
  • Raise awareness about the problem -- 6:10 women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. 
  • Raise the visibility of Project Girl’s human rights curriculum and performances to grow “girl power” movement. 
  • Help to sustain a dynamic, expanding global start up movement.

Project Girl Seeks Social Media Intern!

  Responsibilities

  • Oversee social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and Web 2.0 sites.
  • Develop creative, youth-engaging messaging executed online that promotes organizational goal to empower youth, to empower others.
  • Support, protect and promote globally recognized brand.
  • Establish consistency of message across multiple networks.
  • Manage online discussions by listening to users, reading between the lines, and responding in a timely manner to users’ needs and requests.
  • Monitor, track and excite youth engagement online.
  • Contact local schools to promote programming to students

Qualifications

  • Interest in theatre, online marketing and global issues effecting girls.
  • Computer literacy; Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have exceptional traditional writing and flair for using "social networking speak" and online jargon.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Social media savvy a must.
  • Ideally has experience with taking/editing digital photos and video
